WGNO employees volunteer for Nexstar’s Founder’s Day

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In honor of WGNO’s parent company Nexstar Media’s Founder’s Day, employees commit to community service annually.

This year, the team spent time helping to feed local residents at the Giving Hope Food Pantry in New Orleans East.

Food Pantry founder and auto dealership owner Troy Duhon says the pantry began “because in a city known for it’s food, no one should go hungry.”

Founder’s Day is a nationwide effort in every Nexstar market.

“These are our viewers, and we serve the community. So, how else to give thanks to this company’s success than by getting out in the community,” said WGNO General Manager John Cruse.
