Bogalusa pedestrian killed in Washington Parish crash

BOGALUSA, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that left a Bogalusa pedestrian dead on Saturday, Sept. 13.

According to the LSP, the crash happened on Louisiana 21 at Louisiana 3124 around 9 p.m.

LSP officials said an initial investigation shows that 60-year-old Jackson Brown was walking in the southbound lane of LA 21 while a Nissan was driving south in the same lane. The front bumper of the Nissan then reportedly hit Brown.

Brown suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to troopers.

LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and routine toxicology samples were collected.
