
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the opening date moved from the end of August due to significant progress made on its repairs. Plans for a replacement bridge are also underway, estimated to cost $30 million and planned to go out to bid in Summer of 2026.
Other bridges remain in different states of repair, with the Bayou Dularge Bascule Bridge open to traffic Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. as work on the bridge remains ongoing.
The Daigleville and Bayou Blue Pontoon bridges remain closed for the time being as they continue to be repaired. The Daigleville Bridge is expected to reopen in October, while the Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge is scheduled for a reopening in late August.
