TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A pregnant teen who was shot in a road rage incident in Ponchatoula has died Tuesday, Aug. 26.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Katelynn Strate of Ponchatoula has died as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting. Her 28-week-old baby continues to do well under medical care.
The charges against the suspect, 54-year-old Barry West, have been upgraded to one count of 2nd degree murder.
