PEARL RIVER, La. (WGNO) — St. Tammany fire units are trying to contain a large woods fire that spread to Chris Kennedy Road in Pearl River, according to the St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11.
The fire initially started near West Thorner Road.
The Louisiana Forestry Service is on the way to assist.
St. Tammany firefighters advise people to avoid the area to ensure safety and allow emergency crews to work at an efficient pace.
