NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — HOPE House is giving away free school supplies Sunday, August 3 in Algiers.
The giveaway will last from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Behrman Gym on 2529 General Meyer Avenue. School supplies will be given on a first-come, first served basis. Families will be limited to one backpack of supplies per child.
They will also be offering free cases of water and ice due to the heat advisory. There will be free food, drinks, snowballs, face painting, games, music and more.
