One dead, one critical in Terrebonne Parish apartment shooting
TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man is dead and another hospitalized following a shooting in Terrebonne Parish on Sept. 9.

In an investigation done by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, at 6 p.m. deputies responded to the call of shots fired at an apartment in the 700 block of Bayou Garden Boulevard.

Upon arrival, deputies reported finding two victims, 19-year-old man and 18-year-old woman, inside each suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene while the woman was taken to an out-of-area hospital for treatment where she remains in critical condition, according to deputies.

TPSO Violent Crimes Detectives are in charge of the investigation and say they are pursuing multiple leads.

““This is an active and ongoing investigation. We are committed to finding justice for the victims and their families, and we encourage anyone with information to come forward.” said Sheriff Soignet stated.
