THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — A Thibodaux man was accused Wednesday, Sept. 24 of firing a gun at workers trimming branches on a neighbor’s property.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, 65-year-old Paul Ernest Blaylock was arrested in connection with the incident. Deputies were called to a home on Ann Street after reports that a man fired a gun at several workers nearby. The workers had been hired by a neighbor to trim branches.
TPSO officials said Blaylock allegedly began arguing and yelling at the workers, demanding that they stop the cutting.
Soon after, witnesses reported that Blaylock walked out of his home armed with a handgun and fired a round into the ground while the workers were nearby.
Blaylock was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
