ST. JAMES, La. (WGNO) — A Convent woman is awaiting sentencing following an investigation into the distribution of child pornography.

According to documents filed with the Louisiana District Attorney’s Office, on July 21, 25-year-old Destinee Poche reportedly pled guilty to 13 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles and three counts of distribution pornography involving juveniles.

Court documents revealed that on May 3, 2024, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit agents were alerted of by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children of the possible possession, manufacture and distribution of child pornography.

The investigation reveled Poche uploaded, distributed and was found in possession of several image and videos containing child pornography via electronic device and social media platforms.

On March 17, 2025, Poche was arrested and booked into the St. James Parish Jail.

Sentencing has been deferred pending a pre-sentencing investigation.
