ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — An Abita Springs man is in custody after being accused Wednesday, Oct. 22, of killing his 4-year-old sister.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at a residence on Gardenia Street to reports of an unresponsive child. Detectives found that the 4-year-old victim received multiple life-threatening injuries. She was transported to area hospital where she later died.
STPSO officials said that the victim’s brother, 21-year-old Davahn Alec Profit, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center and faces charges of first-degree murder and resisting arrest.
