Globecast Unveils Cloud-Centric Upgrade At Singapore Hub

Globecast, a media integration and managed services platform provider, has completed a major renovation of its Singapore hub, transforming it into a cloud-centric, IP-enabled facility to support hybrid broadcast and next-generation media workflows across Asia-Pacific.

The overhaul follows the recent opening of Globecast’s Westlake Village, Calif., site and aligns with the company’s push toward software-defined operations. The Singapore site reduces reliance on legacy hardware by optimizing physical space and shifting to integrated cloud, IP and OTT workflows.

Core technical areas — the Technical Operations Center, Master Control Room and Playout Control Room — were reconfigured to add cloud-based processing, IP connectivity and centralized monitoring and control, targeting more efficient, flexible and scalable operations. The facility also is designed to accommodate future upgrades, including increased network capacity and enhanced cybersecurity.

As a fully hybrid environment, the hub continues to provide connectivity, teleport services, playout and media management for hundreds of channels and services while supporting both traditional broadcast and IP/cloud workflows.

“This project went beyond simply upgrading infrastructure,” said Chris Pulis, Globecast CTO. “By integrating cloud, IP and advanced monitoring into a unified environment, we have an operations base in Asia that is more efficient, adaptable and prepared to support the next generation of media services.”

The nine-month project was led largely by Globecast’s in-house engineering teams, which managed design, migration and implementation while maintaining full operational continuity with no service disruption.

“The Singapore upgrade marks a significant milestone for Globecast in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Biliana Pumpalovic, managing director of Globecast Asia. “We created a more agile, cloud-centric environment that supports both legacy and next-generation workflows — and we did so while maintaining 24/7 services for our customers.”

Globecast will host customers and partners at the upgraded facility today ahead of BroadcastAsia 2026.
