Local students receive scholarship in Ringtown man’s memory
RINGTOWN – Two local students are receiving some help towards their future endeavors in honor of a northern Schuylkill businessman.
Members of the Babarsky family presented the Robert “Bob” Babarsky Scholarship to Aiden Fuller and Owen Wolfgang this year. Fuller is a senior at North Schuylkill and Wolfgang is a senior at Tri-Valley.
The scholarship program was established in memory of Babarsky, of Ringtown, who owned Thunder Road in Shenandoah and the Wagon Wheel in Ringtown. He passed away in 2020.
An avid motorcycle rider, a bike run is held in Babarsky’s memory to raise funds for the scholarship. That is scheduled for August 22 this year.
