Rootstock offers new methodology to finish ERP deployments faster and cheaper

Rootstock has announced Rootstock Ready, a methodology it claims will enable Midmarket Manufacturers and Distributors to deploy its ERP solution better, faster and at a predictable cost. Gartner has estimated that more than 70% of ERP deployments fail to meet their original business case goals and 55% exceed budgets.

In recognising this challenge, Rootstock has continually aimed to improve its implementation service. In 2025, it launched a QuickStart implementation methodology for mid-sized manufacturers who selected its ERP solution. In December 2025, it added ERP Managed Services following its acquisition of Praxis, which aided customers with user adoption and system performance.

Rootstock Ready is a further distillation of its expertise, gained during many implementations, that helps customer to achieve their business outcomes faster. It applies a template-based configuration to Rootstock ERP, using an AI-assisted deployment methodology to deliver quicker implementations with greater consistency.

Solving the ERP selection conundrum

Manufacturers and Distributors often face a challenge during their selection process. They can select a simple solution that offers a lower cost of deployment. Or a more complex solution that takes longer to deploy, but offers a more comprehensive solution.

Rootstock, founded in 2008, has developed a complex solution for manufacturers and distributors. As its complexity has increased, it has made efforts to reduce implementation times and associated costs. Rootstock Ready is the latest iteration of this approach. It offers the options of a complex ERP suite, implemented rapidly.

Caroline marty, svp of global professional services & enablement at rootstock

Caroline Marty, SVP of Global Professional Services & Enablement at Rootstock, commented, Rootstock Ready represents a dramatic departure from the way manufacturers and distributors have traditionally approached ERP. In the past, this journey was beset with unpredictable costs, timelines, and scope.

“Rootstock Ready brings expertise from our most seasoned practitioners as well as years of implementation experience into a structured model. As a result, customers gain clarity and confidence from day one — and a faster path to the outcomes they’ve set out to achieve.”

Rootstock Ready is based on tried and tested implementation processes that have been instilled into the methodology. Rootstock estimates that using the methodology will help customers obtain a 3 times faster time to value. As well as reduce the complexity and cost of any implementation.

Once it has deployed the methodology a few times, Rootstock should publish the results comparing what it has achieved against what it might have expected without using Rootstock Ready.

Ohad Idan, Vice President of Product at Rootstock, added, “Rootstock Ready is designed to bridge the gap, providing an accessible way to implement our enterprise-grade ERP with a curated feature-set honed by our industry experts. Companies gain access to the world’s leading business cloud platform with its agentic AI capabilities.

“As a result, they can unify sales, operations, and service data for enhanced decisions. Starting with a focused scope, customers can expand into more capabilities over time, with the foundation in place to instantly activate AI once their organisation is ready.”

What is Rootstock Ready

At the heart of Rootstock Ready is an agentic platform that enables customers to deploy AI Agents where they are ready. Rootstock Ready consists of a template-based approach that allows for rapid implementation based on industry best practices. This ensures the implementations are delivered at a reduced cost, time and complexity. Importantly, Rootstock Ready is charged on a fixed fee basis.

However, it is important to note that some internal costs associated with the project may be additional to this, depending upon the customer’s approach.

The templates include pre-built integrations, notably the Salesforce CRM, Avalara and several other complementary solutions for customer payments and transportation. The templates include an option to integrate with either Rootstock Financials or QuickBooks. Thus, giving customers a choice for their finance backend.

It means that organisations will have a ready-made ERP deployed quickly, using a defined scope and business goals that will align with those commonly used.

The methodology includes built in change management, and training enables organisations to onboard employees rapidly. Thus, enabling them to improve adoption and continue to improve the solution to specific requirements after go-live.

Customers also gain access to the Root Group, its active customer community. Rootstock’s customer learning centre, world-class customer success team, and associated resources.

These enable facilities to help organisations continue enhancing and scaling Rootstock across their organisation, without having to replace their ERP system. Rootstock is in use for mid-sized organisations and enterprise firms. Thus, enabling most firms to scale up with the same solution.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Rootstock Ready is available for both partners and customers. Customers gain a clearer picture of costs, a faster time to value and therefore ROI for their Rootstock implementation. Partners using the methodology can deliver more projects, offering better revenues.

For Rootstock, the methodology will also enable it to scale faster. They can deliver more projects, with the same number of partners and people. It will also make bids more attractive and might turn failures into successes.

The key for Rootstock Ready will be the proof of success in a few months that Rootstock can offer. For manufacturing and distribution firms considering a replacement of their operational solutions, this is another point of differentiation from Rootstock. It will be interesting to see whether other organisations improve the definition of their implementation approach.
