Driver dies in rollover crash Friday in Stearns County

A driver died after he lost control of his car and rolled over Friday afternoon in St. Joseph, authorities say.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said deputies first responded to a report of a rollover crash just after 3 p.m. Friday on Mullen Road, just east of County Road 133. A 911 caller said someone was pinned beneath the vehicle.

The driver, 22-year-old Cody Christopher Strong of St. Cloud, was found partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe Strong lost control of his car at a curve in the road, overcorrected and rolled over in the ditch.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
