A Street Fighter movie trailer was released as part of CinemaCon 2026, showing off new footage from the upcoming video game adaptation.
The new trailer revolves around eternally popular Street Fighter characters Ken, played by Noah Centineo, and Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, who reconnect years after a falling out. Ryu has dropped off the radar in the ensuing years, growing long hair and a beard. Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, is rounding up fighters for the world warrior tournament. She tells Ken, who had his own MTV show, that he’s become a sideshow. In a lot of ways, Ken’s arc seems similar to Johnny Cage’s in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 2 movie.
The trailer goes on to tease various over-the-top fights packed with familiar special moves, and we see pretty much all the characters, including a brief look at Jason Momoa’s Blanka at the end. The trailer starts with ‘Ambitionz az a Ridah’ by 2pac, then uses Non Blondes’ ‘What’s Up’ for the remainder (a drunk Ken even sings it at karaoke at one point).
