NAB Show: Layercake, Ceeblue Integrate For Sub-Second Live Streaming

Layercake and Ceeblue are integrating their platforms to deliver an end-to-end live streaming workflow with sub-second latency, aiming at broadcasters and digital platforms that need real-time performance at scale. The combined solution pairs Layercake’s Streamcake orchestration with Ceeblue’s WebRTS-based Media Fabric to automate ingest-to-delivery workflows while preserving compatibility with standard CDNs, DRM and video players.

The integration targets a long-standing industry challenge: reducing live latency without adding operational complexity or requiring specialized delivery environments. It supports multi-format ingest (RTMP, SRT, WebRTC, WHIP, RTSP) and outputs (HLS, LL-HLS, DASH, CMAF, WebRTC, WebRTS), offers DRM for premium content, uses traditional CDNs for low-latency delivery and avoids player lock-in. WebRTS-Certified CDNs include Fastly, Akamai, Orange CDN, CDN77, Bunny.net, Varnish CDN (or any Varnish Enterprise CDN), Transparent Edge and Medianova. Features also include automated recording and instant VOD replay URL generation.
