The integration targets a long-standing industry challenge: reducing live latency without adding operational complexity or requiring specialized delivery environments. It supports multi-format ingest (RTMP, SRT, WebRTC, WHIP, RTSP) and outputs (HLS, LL-HLS, DASH, CMAF, WebRTC, WebRTS), offers DRM for premium content, uses traditional CDNs for low-latency delivery and avoids player lock-in. WebRTS-Certified CDNs include Fastly, Akamai, Orange CDN, CDN77, Bunny.net, Varnish CDN (or any Varnish Enterprise CDN), Transparent Edge and Medianova. Features also include automated recording and instant VOD replay URL generation.
“By integrating Ceeblue’s ultra-low latency streaming with Streamcake’s orchestration capabilities, we are redefining what is possible in live video delivery,” said Domenic Romeo, CTO, Layercake. “This solution gives customers full control over their streaming workflows while ensuring the highest levels of performance and resilience.”
“Streamcake provides the orchestration layer that complements our real-time streaming technology perfectly,” said Lawton Cheney, CCO, Ceeblue. “Together, we enable customers to deliver truly real-time experiences at scale, with seamless failover and broad device support.”
Layercake will demonstrate the integration at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in the Grass Valley Booth C2408. A dedicated office hour is set for Monday, April 19, at 11 a.m. The combined Streamcake and Ceeblue solution is available immediately worldwide.
