Authorities report that a 16-year-old was leaving a party on S. Hoyt Avenue on March 7 when they were hit by a black Honda Pilot. Police traced the vehicle to the suspect’s family and say witnesses claim the driver intentionally targeted the teen. Pugh has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, and criminal recklessness, a Level 6 felony. The Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office will review the investigation and determine whether formal charges will be filed.
The condition of the 16-year-old has not been publicly disclosed, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
