Jersey Breweries are the Best
Kane Brewing Company in Ocean Township claimed the top spot. Founded in 2011, Kane pours 16 draft beers in its tasting room. Visitors can sample small-batch releases and barrel-aged brews.
Icarus Brewing in Brick landed in second. The taproom and beer garden let guests bring food from nearby restaurants or order meals straight to their tables.
Carton Brewing Company in Atlantic Highlands ranked seventh. It operates out of a renovated 1890s red brick warehouse. Inside, you’ll find a 15-barrel brewhouse and tasting room.
Source Farmhouse Brewery in Colts Neck claimed the 16th position. This brewery follows a farm-to-glass approach, pulling ingredients from nearby sources to craft beers that capture the region’s character. Its Barnyard Mild shows off a deep chestnut hue with flavors of toasty bread crust and caramel.
Pinelands Brewing Company in Little Egg Harbor landed at number 26. Brewers here draw pure water from the Kirkwood-Cohansey Aquifer to make their beers. A rotating lineup keeps things fresh with seasonal options.
Screamin’ Hill Brewery in Cream Ridge took the 28th spot. Situated on a sixth-generation family farm, the brewery grows many of its own ingredients right on the property.
Toms River Brewing rounded out the Shore representation at number 30. Guests can sip from 16 beers on tap in the taproom and beer garden.
According to app.com, other breweries in the top five included Troon Brewing at third, Czig Meister Brewing at fourth, and Cape May Brewing Company at fifth. The Seed: A Living Beer Project, Magnify Brewing Company, and Tonewood Brewing also cracked the top 10.
The full list spans operations across the state. Brix City Brewing to Hidden Sands Brewing Company — they’re all represented.
