The enhancements combine semantic metadata enrichment and AI-powered search capabilities intended to connect audiences with relevant content faster. By improving discovery, operators can better use their existing content libraries.
“Content discovery remains one of the biggest opportunities to improve the viewer experience today,” Gabriel Mandelbaum, Mediagenix content strategy-management VP, said. “As catalogs grow, many platforms still rely on outdated personalization approaches that force viewers to search, scroll and click multiple times just to find something relevant. That creates friction and missed opportunities to engage audiences.”
The platform uses natural language processing and a dual-layer Knowledge Graph to analyze metadata, ranging from keywords to rich descriptions. The semantic enrichment feature creates a profile for every piece of content to power advanced search and audience segmentation.
According to the company, the personalization capabilities have resulted in a 60% increase in conversion-to-play and a 35% increase in viewing session duration. It also reported a 62% increase in catalog exposure and a 50% reduction in editorial curation effort.
The system is designed to shift audience intelligence upstream in the content pipeline, informing decisions across strategy and scheduling.
Mediagenix, a provider of smart content solutions, was recently named an IDC Innovator in the Media and Entertainment 2025 report.
The company will demonstrate the discovery tools at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in Booth W1857.
