One of the state’s most unusual colleges, the aviation-heavy Daniel Webster College that lasted next to Nashua Municipal Airport for half a century, will be celebrated at a reunion on Thursday.

The event, hosted by the non-profit Aviation Museum of New Hampshire, takes place on the 60th anniversary of the school’s founding.

Formed as New Hampshire Aeronautical Institute, Daniel Webster College lasted from 1965 through 2017 before closing due to financial problems with its then-owner, ITT Educational Services.

The event is open to the general public, not just alumni. It will feature live music, a buffet dinner, displays of Daniel Webster College memorabilia from the Aviation Museum’s collection and ‘The Daniel Webster Story: An Enduring Legacy,” a video created to generate interest in the museum’s publication of a book about the college.

Tickets are $100 per person; a table of 10 is $750. Purchase tickets at the door, in advance online at aviationmuseumofnh.org or by phone at (603) 669-4877. All proceeds will benefit the Aviation Museum, including its youth aviation education programs.
