Union supervisors mull 2026 road program

RINGTOWN – Union Township Supervisors discussed plans for the upcoming road work season at their regular meeting Tuesday evening.

Township Supervisor Jeff Ambrose said he and Supervisors Chairman Jeremy Rhoads scouted roads for repairs Tuesday.

Ambrose said supervisors are looking into paving portions of Hollow Road, Reservoir Road, and Hill Field Road.

“We have about 9,600 feet that we can use liquid fuels money to pave,” Ambrose said. “Hill Field Road has to come out of our general fund because we don’t have liquid fuels money for that.”

“But we could possibly have liquid fuels for it after it’s paved,” Rhoads said.

The supervisors did not specify the exact portions they plan to repave.

A bid package will be prepared before the road program is formally approved.

In other business, supervisors heard complaints regarding trucks on Shenandoah Road
