A 17-year-old Lakeville student is in custody after allegedly bringing a gun to school and running from police.
Lakeville Pathways Academy staff notified a Lakeville School Resource Officer of an incident in which a student had shown a gun, according to the City of Lakeville.
Lakeville police responded to the school to monitor the area while law enforcement searched for the student, city officials said.
Around 1:40 p.m., the student was taken into custody in a “neighboring community.” There was no gun on the student when they were arrested, Lakeville authorities added.
The 17-year-old student is currently being held in custody on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
