A crash in a Lakeville roundabout seriously injured a pedestrian in her 60s on Thursday.
Police responded to the intersection of Highview Avenue and 185th Street West shortly before 5 p.m. on a report that a 66-year-old woman had been hit by a car, according to Lakeville police.
An initial investigation indicates a Chevrolet Malibu was heading northbound on Highview Avenue before it entered the roundabout intersection to go westbound on 185th Street West, Lakeville police stated.
The pedestrian was in the crosswalk on the west side of the intersection going north on Highview Avenue when the car hit her in the westbound lane of 185th Street West, police said.
Police noted the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu showed no signs of impairment and is cooperating with law enforcement.
The victim was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
