Ex-school employee gets stayed prison sentence
A former St. Paul teacher was sentenced to probation on Friday for punching a student in November of 2024.
Andre Lee Jordan was initially charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and third-degree assault, but a jury found him not guilty of the sex crimes during a trial in December, according to court records.
Jordan was sentenced to one year in prison, which will be stayed for the duration of his three years of probation. He was also ordered to serve one day in Ramsey County Jail, but was given credit for one day already served.
School nursing records referenced in the complaint added that the victim suffered an abrasion to the left knuckle and a hematoma to the center of the forehead, left side of the nose and left eyelid.
