BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — January 26, 2026
City of Bloomington sanitation services will be delayed an additional day due to ongoing impacts from Winter Storm Fern and “dangerously low windchill temperatures,” city officials said Monday.
In a news release issued Jan. 26, the city said sanitation services will resume Wednesday, Jan. 28, and operate on a revised schedule through Saturday.
Revised sanitation pickup schedule
Regular sanitation service is expected to resume the following week beginning Monday, Feb. 2, according to the city.
Officials asked residents to keep carts off the street until the day of their rescheduled pickup and not to place additional materials curbside during the delay. The city said those steps will help crews navigate narrow, snow-covered streets and maintain safe working conditions.
