Zoho opens two more data centres in Middle East

Zoho has opened two data centres in the UAE to support its growth in the country. Zoho continues to expand in the Middle East, and the company already has two data centres in Saudi Arabia, which it opened in 2024. The new data centres, located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is part of the AED 100 million investment, which Sridhar Vembu, Zoho Founder, announced at Zoholics Dubai in 2023.

The new data centres will host over 100 applications from both Zoho and ManageEngine, the enterprise IT Management division of Zoho Corporation.

Shailesh kumar davey, ceo at zoho

Shailesh Davey, Co-founder and CEO, Zoho Corporation, commented, “The opening of our data centre is part of our ongoing investment in the UAE, which remains one of the largest markets in the region for both ManageEngine and Zoho brands.

“With this move, Zoho Corporation will be enabling businesses store their data locally, strengthening data sovereignty, and supporting the National Cybersecurity Agenda. Furthermore, 100+ solutions across Zoho and ManageEngine will enable businesses of all sizes, and government and semi-government organisations adopt cloud technology for digital transformation in nearly every area of operation, and help Dubai become a digital economy in line with Dubai Vision 2030.”

Data Sovereignty and Data Security are key for continued growth

The new data centres will mean that data hosted within them will be retained in the country. This gives UAE organisations, particularly government organisations, the assurance that their data will not be moved beyond the country’s borders.

The data centres have also received a wide range of security certifications. This includes the CSP Security Standard Certificate by DESC (Dubai Electronic Security Center). Compliance with this standard is mandatory for all CSPs wishing to offer cloud services to the Dubai government and semi-government entities. As a result of this certification and other controls, the data centres are also compliant with:

  • ISO 27001,
  • ISO 22301,
  • ISO 27017,
  • CSA STAR Level 2 Certificate for data centres.

The CSP Security standard is also based on ISR:2017 v.02 and CSA Cloud Controls Matrix 3.0.1. To fully align with security standards, Zoho also revealed that its Dubai office has received ISO 27001 certification.

Sustainability is a big issue for data centres, and I asked Zoho what practices it was using in this initiative. Davey replied, “It’s a co-located solution, and we have chosen a partner–Equinix–that has LEED certification. The data centre runs on renewable energy.”

Why add more data centres to the region?

Many vendors have only a single set of data centres in the Middle East. Still, Zoho’s decision to open a second set indicates it is having significant success in both the region and the country. The statistics back this up.

Over the last year, Zoho has grown by 38.7% in the UAE (presumably revenue). Its partner network has also expanded by 29% over the same period, which should enable it to maintain or even accelerate that growth. It has added 35% to its employee count and also moved to a larger office.

As with the rest of the world, Zoho has also been seeing penetration of the enterprise market. Over the last five years, it has invested AED 80 million to enable over 7,000 businesses on their digital transformation journey through various partnerships, including those with DET and Dubai Culture. These have often been smaller companies; however, their upmarket growth has been fast, growing 48% last year.

Its price point and the scalability of its applications are attracting larger companies. This is supported by the global system integrators it works with in the UAE. These partnerships currently include TCS, Deloitte, Grant Thornton and Cognizant.

The success has been driven by a range of Zoho Applications that are localised and popular in the country. These include:

Enterprise Times asked Zoho about the program to move existing Middle East customers to the UAE data centres. Davey replied, “The UAE data centre will serve the needs of UAE customers. We are not migrating data of other countries.”

He also confirmed that all new UAE customers would be hosted in the new data centres. While there are no plans to move or host customers from other countries in the new data centres, customers can request that they be hosted there.

ManageEngine Contributes too

ManageEngine has also seen 20% revenue growth over the last year, with a focus on the Enterprise Sector. ManageEngine continues to expand, adding new partners in the region as it looks to add both private- and public-sector organisations to its customer base. In July 2025, it appointed Sujoy Banerjee as its Regional Business Director, UAE.

Nirmal Kumar Manoharan, Regional Vice President at ManageEngine, said, “UAE is our second biggest market in the Middle East, and Banerjee’s elevation to head our business here is strategic for our long-term plans for the region.

His expertise in enterprise IT sales, combined with his proven leadership across diverse markets, makes him the ideal person to drive our growth in the UAE. He will work more closely with our customers and partners, enabling us to deliver faster, more localised support and forge stronger relationships.”

As with Zoho applications, several ManageEngine applications have better traction in the region. These include:

Over the last few years, ManageEngine has seen growth across the BFSI, government and public sector, and manufacturing sectors. This has been fuelled by cloud adoption, which is growing at around 35%. The trend reflects the broader shift towards a cloud-first strategy among enterprises in the UAE, as organisations seek the key benefits of cloud, such as scalability, agility, and faster innovation.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

The UAE Cloud Computing Market is anticipated to register a CAGR of 23.00% between 2026 and 2034. The market size was valued at USD 13.5 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 86.99 billion by 2034, according to Report Cube.

Last year, both Microsoft and AWS expanded their presence in the UAE. That Zoho is opening a new region in the country so quickly behind the hyperscalers is an indication of its success over the last few years.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Zoho continues to grow and whether it can replicate the success it has had in India recently with the public sector and government organisations within the UAE, leveraging these data centres.
