Planful

Planful published a case study about how McLarens, a leading global insurance professional services provider with more than 230 offices across 45 countries, relies on Planful. Daniel Rahm, VP of FP&A, explains how the firm moved from spreadsheets to Planful. The firm uses a variance analysis report that sources data direct from Planful into a Spotlight Excel Report.

It has enabled the organisation to change how it views and leverages variances across several criteria. Rahm notes, “It has made a big difference, from our side, how we perceive it, but also from the audience that receives the reports.”

He added, “Using and trusting Planful gives me peace of mind. Which, for me, is very significant.”

Planful Spotlight for Microsoft 365 gave McLarens the flexibility of Excel with the structure and drill-down capabilities of an enterprise platform. Regional finance teams could work in a familiar environment while accessing real-time, consistent data. At the same time, leadership gained a clearer view of performance drivers across business units, regions, and currencies.

To support its evolving ERP environment, which includes some entities on SAP and others on legacy systems, McLarens collaborated with Planful partner Bakerfield Solutions. Together, they streamlined data acquisition and integration. Thus ensuring that critical financial data flowed cleanly and securely into Planful for analysis.

Sirion

Sirion, a global leader in contract lifecycle management (“CLM”) software, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement under which Haveli Investments, L.P. (“Haveli” or “Haveli Investments”), an Austin-based technology-focused investment firm, will make a majority investment in the company.

Ajay Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Sirion, commented, “Contracts sit at the heart of every major enterprise transaction — from procurement and sales to employment and partnerships — and they increasingly define how value flows through an organization.

“At Sirion, we built AskSirion and agentOSTM for this moment — a purpose‑built AI foundation that brings intelligence, structure, and automation to contracting at enterprise scale. This partnership allows us to accelerate that vision and continue building the platform our customers rely on to run their businesses.”

Sumit Pande, Senior Managing Director at Haveli Investments, said, “Sirion is one of the best examples we have seen of a system-of-record software company combining proprietary small-language models with frontier LLMs and creating next-gen agentic AI workflows.

“As AI becomes increasingly central to how enterprises operate, we see strong structural tailwinds for AI-first platforms that sit at the core of business workflows, and we look forward to partnering with Ajay and the entire Sirion team on the company’s next phase of growth.”

Haveli’s investment provides Sirion with additional capital and operational support to help accelerate product innovation, expand global reach, and deepen customer impact, while remaining focused on the platform and capabilities customers rely on today. The transaction enables continued investment to scale the business and strengthen Sirion’s leadership in the CLM category.

Thomson Reuters

Thomson Reuters released its 2026 Report on the State of the US Legal Market. The annual report states that the legal industry is experiencing a tectonic shift that has helped many law firms thrive during this transformative era, driving unprecedented demand growth and increasing profits per lawyer for AM Law 100 firms by 53.7% since 2019.

Raghu Ramanathan, President, Legal Professionals, Thomson Reuters, commented, “Law firms are facing a fundamental shift in the legal industry’s economic landscape, standing at a critical inflection point where they must navigate evolving client demands, rising expenses and a necessary transformation of their operating models.

“The shifting landscape will unlock further demand and lead certain law firms to becoming fully tech-centric employing tech-pricing structures, as other law firms move towards being an elite, partner-heavy boutique dedicated to delivering highly specialized and bespoke legal counsel. The question isn’t whether traditional operating models can survive but whether law firms are committed to truly transform.”

Workday announced that Paradox Conversational ATS is now available on the Workday platform. Built for organizations that hire at scale, the solution replaces logins, long forms, and manual steps with a simple, conversational experience, helping organizations hire frontline workers faster and with far less effort.

Aashna Kircher, Group General Manager for the office of the CHRO, Workday, commented, “Frontline hiring breaks down when the process is slow, complex, and doesn’t meet workers on their own terms.

“Paradox Conversational ATS removes that friction by helping to streamline up to 90% of hiring tasks and letting candidates apply in minutes via their phone, helping customers hire faster and collectively save millions of hours of manual work each year.”
