Brownsburg Fire Territory Ambulance Crashes in Icy Conditions Sunday

A Brownsburg Fire Territory ambulance lost control on ice struck a guard rail and flipped over into a creek early Sunday morning in Hendricks County, Indiana.
Brownsburg Fire Territory put a press release on their Facebook page about the incident and said the ambulance was returning to its station after completing a call when the driver encounter icy road conditions, and lost control, “Road Conditions were extremely hazardous, with ice covering the roads.”
The release continued, “While traveling on 550 E., the ambulance lost control after encountering icy conditions, struck a guardrail, and overturned into a creek. There was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the incident.”
According to the release, the two crew members of the ambulance were extricated safely from he vehicle, and transported to a local hospital as a precaution, which is protocol. Both are in good condition.
