Broadway power couple Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus answer 7 Questions with Emmy

Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.

Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus are a Broadway power couple. They have performed in musicals, television shows, live performances and on stages around the world.

Stephanie is known for her roles in “Wicked,” “Kiss Me, Kate,” “Into the Woods,” “9 to 5,” “Anything Goes” and dozens of other Broadway shows. She has acted on the television shows “Homeland,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Madam Secretary” and more.

Her husband, Sebastian, has acted in “House of Cards,” “Madam Secretary,” “FBI Most Wanted,” “Elf,” “Wicked,” and “Into the Woods.”

Stephanie and Sebastian were the guest performers in the Tabernacle at Temple Square Christmas concert this year. I had a chance to chat with them before the performance. Here’s what I asked:

  • What was it like performing with The Taberbacle Choir?
  • How did you two meet?
  • You have toured all over the world. Do you have a favorite place?

  • How did you get your start in theater?
  • Do you ever get stage fright and how do you handle it?
  • Do you have a favorite role or show you have performed in?
  • Can you share a piece of advice with me?

Watch my interview with Stephanie and Sebastian in the video player above. You can follow Stephanie here and Sebastian here.
