Man dies in single-vehicle accident in Stone County


An Independence County man died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Stone County. The Arkansas State Police (ASP) identified the victim as 36-year-old Kenneth C. Cordell of Newark.
According to the ASP report, the crash happened when Cordell failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a stump and overturned.




The accident happened on Arkansas State Highway 14, near Marcella at midnight.
