Former Hudson elementary school teacher gets 6 years in prison for sex crimes against child

A former elementary school teacher in Hudson, Wisconsin, was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for sex crimes against a child.

According to court records, 26-year-old Madison Bergmann’s prison sentence will be followed by six years of extended supervision. Bergmann pleaded guilty to one count of child enticement and two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff in September. Her sentences for the three charges will be served at the same time.

Bergmann was a fifth-grade teacher at River Crest Elementary School at the time of the sexual misconduct.

Charging documents indicate that the victim and Bergmann talked and texted each other “almost daily.” The child told investigators they had kissed several times and talked about having sex.

Her former coworker at the school, Abigail Faust, is also facing charges for inappropriate relationships with children, including a child whom she nannied in Washington County.
