BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — December 19, 2025
Families who still need holiday gifts for their children can attend an “extra toy day” distribution event Saturday at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, organizers said.
The event, part of Pantry 279’s ELF Dispatch children’s gifting program, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the fairgrounds’ 4-H Building, 5700 W. Airport Road.
Cindy Chavez, Executive Director, said demand has been high this season, but donations have also been strong, allowing organizers to offer an additional day for families who still need assistance.
Organizers said adults picking up gifts must bring a photo ID and proof of the child, such as a birth certificate. They will also verify that families have not registered with another holiday gifting service.
Pantry 279’s ELF Dispatch program provides holiday gifts for children in Monroe County each year, and the group has used “extra toy day” events to help address overflow demand and wait lists.
