Nearly a dozen people were displaced after an overnight apartment fire in Minneapolis.
Crews were called to reports of smoke and flickering lights at an apartment building on the 2400 block of Dupont Avenue South just before midnight, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department. There, they found heavy smoke on the second floor. After opening the walls and ceiling, crews found fire.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews shut off electricity to the building, which was deemed uninhabitable. Authorities say 11 people were displaced, and the Red Cross was called in to help three adults.
