FREELAND – A Hazleton man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in connection with a deadly shooting in Freeland overnight.
Edgar Polanco, 24, of Freeland, is facing conspiracy to criminal homicide charges and is in Luzerne County Prison without bail.
His arrest, State Police at Hazleton say, came in connection with the shooting dead of an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy.
The shooting occurred outside a business in Freeland and the two victims arrived at a fire scene east of the city of Hazleton en route to a local hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing and police say the incident appears to be isolated.
