Drug dealer pleads and receives sentence

One of the drug sellers arrested September 4 during an operation involving a number of federal state and local law enforcement agencies appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division Monday, November 3 and pled guilty to the charges against him.
Forty-eight-year-old Tony Loyd Watkins of Mountain Home was sentenced to five-years-probation. In addition to his probation, he will be required to complete an addiction treatment program.

Six of those arrested during the operation are facing state charges, including Watkins, and five others are being charged in federal court. The operation focused on drug dealers in the Mountain Home area.

It was alleged in Watkins’ state case that he sold a small quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in early this year.
