Izard County STEM High School has been awarded a Career and Technical Education Innovation Grant worth $38,590 from the Arkansas Division of Secondary Education.
The funding will support the school’s project, “Code to Career: Modernizing Computer Science Education Through Hands-On Technology,” which aims to update and expand computer science offerings with new, interactive learning tools.

School officials credit Computer Science Teacher Maison Hudgeons and Keri McCarn with the Northcentral Arkansas Education Service Center for their leadership in preparing and submitting the grant proposal.

The initiative is part of a statewide effort to strengthen computer science and technical education opportunities for Arkansas students.
