National leaders, including Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance, expressed their respect for West Virginian Steve Lipscomb, who was killed in a mine accident in Nicholas County.
"All of West Virginia mourns the loss of this courageous man," Morrisey said in a statement. "Steve was a husband, a father of two, and he spent his final moments making sure his men escaped to safety."
