First Arrest: Traffic Stop Leads To Stolen Gun Discovery

The first arrest happened on November 8, 2025, just after 1:00 a.m., when officers conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of 20-year-old Tony Thomas. During the stop, police discovered that Thomas was in possession of a firearm that had previously been reported stolen.

Officers took Thomas into custody and charged him with illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Love Shreveport-Bossier Media confirmed that the weapon was seized and is being held as evidence pending return to its rightful owner.


Second Arrest: Early Morning Patrol Leads To Another Stolen Firearm

A day later, on November 9, 2025, just after 2:00 a.m., officers encountered 20-year-old Kielyn Combs during a separate investigation. Police say Combs was found carrying a firearm that was later confirmed to have been stolen. He was also charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Detectives say both incidents highlight the importance of proactive patrol work and the community’s role in reporting suspicious activity. Love Shreveport-Bossier Media confirmed that SPD has seen an increase in stolen firearm recoveries in recent months due to traffic enforcement and citizen cooperation.


Community Cooperation And Ongoing Efforts
