WABAUNSEE COUNTY (KSNT) – The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the victims of a deadly Wabaunsee County I-70 crash that occurred on Monday.
The KHP reports the crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 just east of where I-70 meets McFarland Road. A Jeep Liberty was traveling east on I-70 while another vehicle, a Peterbilt truck tractor, was entering the highway from an entrance ramp.
The driver of the Jeep drifted into the median for an unknown reason, hitting a culvert and started to overturn. The two vehicles then collided together.
The KHP reports the driver of the Jeep, 63-year-old Cheryl A. Martin, and its only other passenger, 65-year-old, Perry A. Martin, 65, were killed in the crash. Both are listed as coming from Junction City. The driver of the tractor was listed as unharmed.
