Gunfire erupts downtown; buildings, cars damaged
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to Monument Circle on the report of shots fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they found several businesses damaged on Meridian, Maryland, and Washington Streets.
A police report says a total of four businesses and three vehicles were hit by the gunfire. That includes “First Financial Bank”, a taco truck, and more. No one was hurt during the incident.
Investigators are still looking for those behind the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
