COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – Happy Saturday! Despite a few pop up showers, most of us have stayed dry for the beginning of the weekend.

Sunday: We are tracking a cold front early tomorrow morning that will bring a chance for stray showers. Behind the front, temperatures will only warm up into the lower 70s.

Next Week: Starting Monday, get ready for cold arctic air to enter the region. Freeze Watches are in effect for Chambers, Troup, and Meriwether,

and more are likely to be added. Readings will drop into the 30s by Monday morning, and wind chill temperatures will be in the low 20s for some. Plus, our afternoon temperatures won’t even get out of the 40s.

Tuesday is set to be even colder. Actual temperatures will drop into the 20s, and wind chill readings will be in the teens for some areas.

By the end of the week, we will begin to see a warm-up. Lows will be back in the 40s, with highs in the 70s, by Thursday. We are not tracking another chance for rain until the end of next weekend.
