BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man following a drug investigation earlier this week.
BRPD said they conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Brandon Parker, 34, on Nov. 5. During the search, officers found and seized a handgun, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and cash.
Parker was booked into the parish prison on several charges, including:
Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs.
Illegal carrying of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances.
Felon in possession of a firearm.
According to BRPD, Parker has a lengthy criminal history that includes burglary, theft, drug offenses, attempted first-degree murder, and second-degree murder. He is currently on parole for possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs and manslaughter.
