The sheriff’s office received a report of a possible road rage incident near the intersection of County Home Road and Millersville Road Thursday, Nov. 6.
Officers determined that Robert Galle had traveled to Catawba County to purchase narcotics from Brian Brown and Albert Schroeder.
Brown and Schroeder were allegedly defrauded by Galle, who reportedly used counterfeit currency to pay for the narcotics.
Following the fraudulent transaction, Brown and Schroeder pursued Galle’s vehicle. Shots were fired into Galle’s vehicle during the pursuit, and the two reportedly rammed his vehicle.
Brown and Schroeder then attempted to flee the scene, at which point Galle rammed their vehicle in return.
Galle is charged with one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 10.
Brown is charged with one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Reckless Driving to Endanger, and one count of Driving While License Revoked. He is being held on a $10,000 bond with a first court appearance scheduled for Nov. 10.
Schroeder is charged with one count of Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Vehicle. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 10.
