Paragon Casino to host three major events on Nov. 22

MARKSVILLE, La. (WNTZ) — Paragon Casino Resort will be the center of activity in Central Louisiana on Saturday, Nov. 22, when three major community events return to the property: the Cruisin’ Southern Style Car Show, the Tunica-Biloxi Indians Political Action Committee’s BBQ Throwdown, and the Marksville Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Extravaganza.

class="wp-block-heading">Cruisin’ Southern Style Car Show

The Southern Style Cruisers Classic Car Club will once again host its Cruisin’ Southern Style Car Show, a massive car and truck showcase benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Last year’s event raised more than $141,000 in donations.

The show will feature over 100 awards, raffles, a live auction, and celebrity appearances from Ryan Evans, Horny Mike, and Ghetto Bob of Counting Cars, along with Joe and Amanda Martin from Martin Bros Customs.

A Pre-Opening Show and Shine will be held Friday, Nov. 21, from noon to 5 p.m., followed by a VIP Celebrity Dinner and Cocktail Hour at 6 p.m. The main car show takes place Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the award ceremony and live auction running from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

19th Bi-Annual BBQ Throwdown

The Tunica-Biloxi Indians Political Action Committee (TBIPAC) will host its 19th Bi-Annual BBQ Throwdown at the Paragon Casino RV Resort. Some of the region’s top grill masters will compete for titles in ribs, chicken, brisket, steak, sauce, and dessert categories.

Visitors can enjoy a $10 BBQ plate lunch while sampling the competition between noon and 5 p.m. on Saturday.

19th Annual Christmas Extravaganza

For shoppers looking to get an early start on holiday gifts, the Marksville Chamber of Commerce’s 19th Annual Christmas Extravaganza will be held in the Mari Showroom from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature dozens of vendors offering crafts, gifts, and festive holiday items.

Admission is $5 for adults, while children 12 and under get in free.

Casino Promotions

In addition to the day’s festivities, Paragon Casino Resort will feature several ongoing promotions on the casino floor:

• Friday nights (5–9 p.m.) – Guests who earn 150 points receive a free bottle of Smirnoff.
• Saturdays (3:30–8 p.m.) – Guests can earn entries every 30 minutes for a chance to win up to $400 in free play.
• Race to 2026 promotion – Runs through the end of the year with $25,000 in free play prizes. The top 20 earners will win, with the first-place winner receiving $10,000.
