‘Not for sale’: Nottoway Plantation owners plan to rebuild post-fire
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The owners of Nottoway Plantation and Resort say the historic estate is not for sale and that plans are moving forward to rebuild the mansion that was destroyed by fire earlier this year.

The owners said they are dedicated to restoring the property after the blaze caused major damage to the main house of the 160-year-old structure in Iberville Parish on May 15. Ten fire departments responded to the fire.

“The owners of Nottoway Plantation and Resort would like to inform the public that the estate is not for sale and plans are in place to rebuild the mansion that was damaged in the fire on May 15, 2025. We have a deep affection for this region and its people. The Randolph restaurant at Nottoway remains open for business, serving some of the finest cuisine with exceptional customer service, and we invite you to join us. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated.”

The Randolph Restaurant at Nottoway remains open, serving lunch and dinner, and offering “some of the finest cuisine with exceptional customer service.”

The restaurant’s current hours are:

  • Thursday–Saturday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5–9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests are welcome to book holiday events at the venue while rebuilding efforts are ongoing.
