
WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — A person identified only as a female was hit by a car in West Jordan, and she was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
According to Andrew Hercules with West Jordan Police Department, at around 5:50 p.m., West Jordan Police responded to crash where a car hit a pedestrian, near 8620 S and 4800 W.
A female was crossing the street and was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on 8620 S. The female was transported to the hospital in serious condition, but according to Hercules, she was talking, conscious, and alert. Police did not provide any additional information about the victim.
The driver reportedly told police that they didn’t see her, and the driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police.
Hercules told ABC4 that any other potential factors like speed or alcohol are not known at this time.
The road is blocked on 4800 West at 8600 South, and it will be closed until around 8:30 p.m., while police continue to investigate.
