Belvidere police arrest man with nearly pound of marijuana

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — Belvidere Police announced the arrest of a Poplar Grove man, Joshua Salgado, 23, after officers discovered nearly a pound of marijuana, a quantity of cannabis vape pens, and handgun ammunition during a traffic stop.

Authorities say Salgado’s arrest came after officers stopped a maroon Honda Accord around 3:35 p.m. Thursday, in the area of Appleton Road and the Route 20 bypass.
