Little Rock School District celebrates exceptional scholars at annual reception

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials from the Little Rock School District announced that they celebrated academic achievement at their annual Scholars Reception.

According to a spokesperson, the celebration took place at the Central Arkansas Library System’s main library.

“We host this reception each year because it’s important to pause and honor what you, our scholars, have accomplished,” said Superintendent Jermall Wright. “You represent the very best of LRSD, not only through your grades and test scores, but also through your leadership, service, and compassion in your schools and community.”

Officials reported that LRSD recognized a total of 14 National Merit Semifinalists, 10 Commended Scholars, and 20 Principal’s Scholars.
