LRSD partners with the City of Little Rock to assist families impacted by the federal shutdown

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock School District announced the relaunch of the “Stock the Rock the wRight Way” campaign.

According to a spokesperson, the LRSD is partnering with the City of Little Rock to help families affected by the federal government shutdown.

The campaign aims to gather essential items and restock school food pantries, ensuring the District can respond quickly to the needs of students and families across the District, officials said.

“When a student isn’t worried about food or hygiene…they can focus on learning, growing, and thriving,” said Mabelvale Middle School Principal Jasmine Geter.

Officials stated that every LRSD school, Early Childhood Center, and the Administration Building will serve as drop-off points for community donations.
