Ice Skating returns to downtown Indy's Bicentennial Plaza
The festivities will begin on Friday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. with the opening day having mascots, music, and free coca or cider for the first 100 guests.
“We’re thrilled to welcome guests back to the Elevance Health Rink for another great season,” said Mel Raines, president and CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment.
Live music from DJ Lockstar will begin at 4:30 p.m. on opening day followed by appearances from Boomer, Freddy Fever, and the Pacemates.
In addition to opening day, other special events throughout the season include the following:
“This rink has become a festive gathering place in the heart of our city where families, friends and visitors can enjoy the downtown atmosphere, make memories, and celebrate the season together,” said Raines.
The rink will be open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to a press release from Pacers Sports & Entertainment. The rink will also open daily during students’ winter break from Thursday, Dec. 18 – Sunday, Jan. 4.
Skate rental, skate sharpening, and additional skating resources will be available at the rink.
General admission tickets go on sale on Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. The plaza is located at 117 S Pennsylvania St. in Indianapolis. For more information please visit here.
